Briana Walters appointed director of Office of Management and Budget

Briana Walters has been appointed the director of the ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë Office of Management and Budget. She has held the senior business analyst position in OMB since July 2013.

Walters earned an MBA in business administration from UA Southeast and a Bachelor's of Business Administration in accounting from ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë. She has served in various accounting and finance positions at ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë and the University of Alaska during the past 13 years, including with the ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë Office of Grants and Contracts Administration and the UA Office of Cost Analysis. Earlier, she worked as an accountant with Cook & Haugeberg CPAs.

OMB is part of the Financial Services division under Administrative Services, along with the Office of Finance and Accounting, Grants and Contracts Administration, the Housing/Dining Joint Business Office, and the Bursar’s Office. OMB is responsible for ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë budget development, analysis and planning activities, and coordinating process improvement projects, facilitation efforts and work teams.
