The ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë Community and Technical College will dedicate the Learning Center at its downtown campus to Debbie Moses on Friday, April 18, from 3–5 p.m.

Moses began teaching mathematics and advising students for ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë in 1996. She passed away in 2012 after a two-year battle with cancer.

The dedication ceremony will be at 604 Barnette St. and is open to the public. Refreshments will be provided and parking is free. Speakers will recognize Moses' contributions to ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë.

"Many students at ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë Community and Technical College benefited from her ability to untangle the mysteries of math. As an instructor, she was in turn both demanding and nurturing to her students," said Susan Henrichs, ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë provost. "She had a love of mathematics, which motivated even the most reluctant student. Debbie was always striving to improve the developmental program in order to help students discover the beauty and joy of numbers."
