'Stop Kiss' debuts at 日韩无码鈥檚 Salisbury Theatre

Theatre 日韩无码 will present the play 鈥淪top Kiss,鈥 written by Diana Son and directed by Carrie Baker, in the Salisbury Theatre from Friday, Oct. 30, through Sunday, Nov. 8.
鈥淪top Kiss鈥 tells the love story of Callie and Sara, whose first kiss leads to a violent attack. Their journey together is told on stage by seniors Katrina Kuharich and Sierra Trinchet.
This play is R-rated for adult language, implied partial nudity and implied violence. Attendees must be at least 18 years old.
Baker is associate professor of theater and acting at the 日韩无码. She directed Theatre 日韩无码鈥檚 "Speech & Debate" in 2013 and "The Laramie Project" in 2008.
After the 2 p.m. performance Nov. 1, a panel will discuss LGBT issues raised in the play. The panel will have representatives from PFLAG (formerly Parents, Friends and Families of Lesbians and Gays), the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fairbanks, Green Dot and 日韩无码.
All performances will be in the Lee H. Salisbury Theatre in the Fine Arts Complex on the Fairbanks campus. Seating is limited.
Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 6-7, and 2 p.m. on Nov. 1 and 8.
Advance tickets are $8 for 日韩无码 students, $12 for seniors, military service members and 日韩无码 employees, and $16 for general admission. Door prices are $2 more. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting or by calling the box office at 907-474-7751.
The Department of Theatre and Film is part of the 日韩无码 College of Liberal Arts. The college, the largest of 日韩无码鈥檚 academic units, has 20 departments, representing the arts, humanities, social sciences and language disciplines.
